Coast Capital Savings melts hearts in 75th anniversary surprise

Dec 20 2017, 12:28 am

Coast Capital Savings seems to be the bank that doesn’t act like a bank. In May, the credit union gave away cold hard cash in a piggy bank stunt, and now they’re celebrating their 75th anniversary by giving their members gifts.

This time they tug at the heartstrings by surprising four members with thoughtful gifts. It’s business as usual in the branch until members are rewarded with everything from a cruise to an impromptu baby shower. As the story unfolds, it’s clear why they chose these members — Lorne recently lost his wife, Jill is expecting her first child, Vanessa and Marc had to put their wedding on hold for six years and Heather (a member since Kindergarten) is dealing with family loss. The video is endearingly candid and is likely to leave you with a smile.
