Here's how you can make a positive change in your community and win $2,500

Have you ever wished that there was a way that you could positively change something and give back to your community?

We’re not talking about channelling your inner modern-day superhero, but at the same time, we are.

Giving back could be anything from volunteering at a homeless shelter to taking a class on sustainability, or creating a piece of public artwork for everyone in your community to enjoy. No matter how small you think this change is, it could have huge benefits for others.

And you’re not alone in your desire to help others — a recent BC survey by Coast Capital Savings of people aged 18-29 found that 79% of respondents believe we are all part of a community and that everyone should give back with their time and active participation.

That’s exactly why Coast Capital Savings is running The Power of Youth contest, and giving away a total of $10,000 (four prizes of $2,500). The credit union is giving you the chance to make a positive change in your community.

How to enter

You can enter The Power of Youth contest in three easy steps:

  1. Take a photo or video of yourself.
  2. Tell Coast Capital Savings how you will make your community better.
  3. Upload your submission. You can share your photo or video on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtags #ThePowerOfYouth and #CoastCapital. OR you can upload your video through this Dropbox File Request Page. If you enter this way, remember to say your name and phone number at the beginning of your video so that you can be contacted if you win.

This contest is being run in accordance with Coast Capital Savings’ own rules and regulations, and closes at 11:59 pm PDT on September 3, 2018.
