Dec 19 2017, 6:30 pm

The accomplishments of women in Vancouver in general, and in the Vancouver tech scene in particular, are plentiful, but until now there have been few female-centric networking event to honour these accomplishments.

Enter local startup Clio, fresh off of a $20M Series C round. They’re hosting a ‘Women, Wine and Wisdom’ networking event this Wednesday, May 7th, at Clio HQ in Burnaby, focused on bringing professional women in Vancouver together for a night of networking, collaboration, and recognition.

“We planned the event to celebrate the success of women in all areas of business, and give them the opportunity to share best practices and offer mentorship to up and coming female professionals,” says Rachel Raffa, Clio employee and one of the event coordinators. “At Clio, we’re focused on ensuring an equal opportunity workplace and recognizing the incredible accomplishments of women across Vancouver.”

Bringing together professionals from all walks of life, the event will feature speakers Sarah Lubik, the Director of Technology Entrepreneurship at SFU, and Angela Baldonero, the COO of Perch.

The event is free to all attendees and, as promised, wine and light snacks will be provided. Come as you are for this one-of-a-kind evening!
