
Vancouver pizza fans will have one less option as City Square Pizza has announced it will be closing its West End location.
The Davie Street pizzeria posted the news on Instagram, explaining that it had made the decision to close “with careful consideration.”
“We regret to inform you that City Square Pizza will be closing its doors permanently on November 29, 2024. This decision was not made lightly, and we are deeply grateful for the support and trust you have shown us over the years.”

City Square Pizza opened in 2022, telling Dished at the time that it takes a contemporary approach to making its artisanal Roman-style pizzas.
The pizzeria makes its own homemade tomato sauce and its pizza features a signature cheese blend and a square, crispy-crunchy exterior. City SquareĀ also offers vegan and veggie pizzas as well as salads and sandwiches.

The West End BIA also broke the news to its followers on X, saying that they bid farewell to the pizza shop “with heavy hearts.”

City Square Pizza signed off its closure announcement by thanking everyone for their patronage and wishing everyone the best for the future.
