One of the roles the City of Vancouver is hiring for doesn’t even require the completion of Grade 12. The City is hiring a food service worker at the Gathering Place community centre in Yaletown. The position pays up to $27.04 per hour. The auxiliary position requires a criminal record check.
There is another role available at the Gathering Place that pays slightly higher as a cashier and kitchen attendant. The role pays up to $30.41 per hour, and applicants require a Grade 11 education, ideally with some experience in a commercial kitchen. Retail cash experience is an asset.
Another position that doesn’t technically require a degree is the role of animal control officer.
