Cirque du Soleil Big Top goes up in Vancouver (VIDEO)

Cirque du Soleil returns to Vancouver this month with their critically-acclaimed show KOOZA.

And, in preparation of opening night on October 29; today the yellow and blue Big Top that will house this year’s death-defying production was raised at Concord Pacifice Place.

Standing 56-feet high and 128-feet in diameter, the impressive structure is made up of more than 100 metal poles and takes a team of 60 expertly trained technicians to erect it. Once finished, the Big Top covers an area big enough to accommodate 2,400 people and will stay in place until the show departs on December 27.
