It’s one of Vancouver’s most colourful neighbourhoods, and that’s before they’ve gone and sprinkled the streets with seasonal cheer!
Crammed full of culture, culinary delights, and cool bars; this 22 block stretch of East Van is home to more than 300 different vendors, as well as Van City’s iconic Little Italy neighbourhood.
We are of course talking about Commercial Drive, or simply The Drive as Vancouverites have come to call it.
And as if you needed any more of an excuse to pay this eclectic East Van strip a visit this weekend; the vibrant neighbourhood gets a dose of seasonal spirit in the form of the ever enjoyable Christmas on The Drive, which is now celebrating its sixth year.

Horse-drawn carriage on Commercial Drive (Christmas on The Drive)
You can expect all of the traditional festive fare such as tree lighting, horse-drawn carriage rides, and even a visit from Santa himself.
There’s also live music, and everyone who attends will even get free hot chocolate and treats.
After you’ve had your fill of Holiday Cheer you can even use this handy guide to spend some time kickstarting your shopping ahead of Santa season.

Live music at Christmas on The Drive (Christmas on The Drive)
