You can view some of the best Christmas lights in Metro Vancouver from the safety and comfort of your own couch.

A series of YouTube videos have captured magnificent light displays at homes throughout Surrey, Delta, and Langley. They’re the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit amid COVID-19.

Scott Callaghan, the man behind the videos, says he likes looking for “awesome houses” each year with his girlfriend and kids.

“I thought, ‘let’s see how well it turns out [in a] video’,” Callaghan said, adding that the group will head out at least one more time over the coming weekend.

The videos feature light-wrapped trees, inflatable Grinch’s, and sparkling reindeer. Front lawns have been transformed into seasonal scenes of snowmen and Santa Claus, and facades adorned with twinkling lights.

One house features Santa suspended from a tree, appearing to soar through the sky with his sleigh and reindeer. A front yard has been overtaken by festive blow-up animals. Multiple Baby Yoda’s can be spotted.

With Christmas just a week away, Callaghan’s videos are a great way to add some cheer to the final days of the year.
