The holiday season may be over, but on Saturday, January 21, Vancouver Community College (VCC) and The Salvation Army will be giving a gift to their neighbours in the Downtown Eastside – a Christmas lunch with all the fixings.

Taking place at the The Salvation Army Harbour Light, more than 70 volunteers from VCC and the community will prepare and serve more than turkeys, hundreds of pounds of vegetables, along with gallons of coffee.

More than 1000 people from the community are expected to enjoy a warm, nutritious post-holiday meal at the 19th annual Christmas in January event.
