Vancouver forecast calls for sunshine all Christmas Day

Dec 25 2018, 2:03 am

While we are well-accustomed to rain on Christmas Day here in Vancouver, it appears that Mother Nature is in a friendlier mood this year and residents can expect to wake up on Christmas morning to nothing but sunshine and clear skies.

And according to Environment Canada, that sunshine is set to last all through the day.

While the skies will clear, daytime temperatures will only hit a high of 5°C mark, (this is December after all), so be sure to dress properly if you’re heading out to grab some of that glorious Vitamin D.

Temperatures in the evening will drop even further, down to 2°C, and the skies are set to cloud over, with the rain forecast to continue into Boxing Day, before things brighten up again on Thursday.

So while it may not be a white Christmas here in the city, it’s safe to say that sunshine is the next best thing.
