We all know and love her, and now she will be immortalized on the cover of FIFA 16 by EA Sports.

Captain of Canada’s Women’s Soccer Team and Burnaby native Christine Sinclair will grace the Canadian cover of the latest incarnation of the video game. She joins U.S. Women’s Soccer Team Captain Alex Morgan (appearing on the American version) as the first women to be on the cover of a FIFA game.

“As soon as we knew Women’s National Teams were joining FIFA 16, we immediately recognized that Christine and Alex would be the perfect cover athletes based on their accomplishments and what they represent for their respective countries and the sport of women’s soccer,” said David Pekush, Sr. Manager of North America Marketing for EA SPORTS in a statement.

“They are exhilarating players and exude heart and courage on the pitch, and we are extremely proud to be working with them this year.”

Sinclair was also pivotal in the game’s development, spending time in EA Game’s Vancouver studios to capture in-game footage.

She said in a tweet that it was “such an honour.”
