Last night one of the best comedians out there brought his “No Apologies” tour to the Legendary Orpheum theatre. It was the first of 3 nights in which Chris Rock will grace the stage in Vancouver. The Urban Dweller was lucky enough to secure 3rd row tickets for tonights show. After missing the Black Ambition tour when it rolled through last time, there was no way The Urban Dweller was missing out on this tour.
There are a lot of comedians out there, however, Chris Rock is possibly the best of the bunch this generation. His timing and execution of his jokes is nothing short of uncanny and that is what makes him so special. Expect him to cover everything from the U.S. presidential election, to the rising gas prices, to relationship advice for women and of course the “N” word.
He is a great fucking anti-depressant, and lord knows the world can use more laughter, it is after all the best medicine out there. The entire Vancity Buzz staff agrees that those uptight fuckers at other blogs need a good laugh before they go and solve the ills of society. Hopefully they can afford tickets because they are pricey. Chris Rock plays tonight and Tuesday at The Orpheum. Both shows start at 7:30 pm.
Note: Money J Skeets is selling boot legged copies of Tropic Thunder to score some tickets, while the Schwab is still trying to pay off his gambling debts. The Suburban Don will not be attending as he doesn’t understand black comedy. Egregious.
