Canada’s first space commander, Colonel Hadfield, is performing at Vancouver’s Orpheum as part of his Canada 150 tour this year.
The show will be a celebration of the nation through a series of stories, songs, images, and ideas by Hadfield. As a man who is proud to call Canada home, Hadfield has a unique perspective of how the future of the country will look through the eyes of its people and the land itself.
Colonel Hadfield has been singing for quite some time. He famously recorded his own version of David Bowie’s Space Oddity from Space in 2013.
On his Canada 150 tour, you can expect to hear Hadfield perform his fun, patriotic single ‘In Canada,‘ and the song ‘Beyond the Terra,‘ which takes listeners from the land to the skies.
Stories of great Canadians, and stories of his own personal experiences from his incredible career are woven throughout Hadfield’s unique show. Every performance is tailored to the present audience so the crowd gets a true sense of the wonder of Canada and Hadfield’s experiences.
Suitable for all types of fans, and anyone who wishes to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, the show will leave you with the sense that Canada is ‘Out of this World.‘
