Are you looking for a polished version of the Chinese acrobatic shows that have been exhibited at The Fair at the PNE over the past decade?

Some of China’s most skilled and acclaimed acrobats are coming to Vancouver in September for a one-night only performance at the Orpheum Theatre.

Founded nearly 60 years ago, National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China has built a reputation for its display of unique circus and acrobatic acts that are fused with distinctive Chinese national characteristics and style. The company performed at Beijing during the 2008 Olympic Games and has traveled to 50 countries for 600 touring shows watched by 400,000 people to date.

For the upcoming Vancouver show, the company will unravel its “Peking Dreams” production for the local audience, featuring impressive circus tent and acrobatic acts such as hats’ juggling, diving through rings, bicycles, feet juggling with umbrellas, unicycles, adagio of four, grand martial arts, balance on chairs, aerial silk, solo trapeze, rope tricks and more.

Tickets for the event on September 4 are running out quickly.
