Children’s Charity Fundraiser Celebrates Family Values While Giving Back

The Christmas Family Ball Society marks its 47th year raising funds for lesser-known children’s charities with the society’s annual event, the Family Christmas Ball. This year, the longstanding non-profit organization’s dinner and dance event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Vancouver. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Lasting Magic (www.lastingmagic.org) and the B.C. Childhood Cancer Parents’ Association (www.bcccpa.org).

Much has changed since 1964 when the first Family Ball was held, but the society’s core values remain the same. The family-oriented event celebrates coming together in the spirit of Christmas to give back to the community and those less fortunate. Families gather for a formal dinner with other families and friends, taking time out of their busy lives and full schedules to honour traditional family values.
