You can fly from Vancouver to Edmonton for as low as $108 this summer

With Greyhound Canada cancelling bus and freight services in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, travelling to Canada’s interior provinces just got a little more challenging.

Although driving is still a viable option, a 12-hour trek can be daunting for road trip rookies – not to mention a small fortune in gas money.

Luckily, and thanks to YVR Deals, it’s now possible to fly from Vancouver to Edmonton, Alberta for as low as $108 ($168 with checked luggage).

You may be relying more on public transit, but that simply means less money on gas and more money for your trip.

The flights can be booked with Flair Air from July to mid-September and are non-stop both ways.

Here’s how to book the flight:

1. Visit the Flair Air Website.

2. Enter in a flight departing from Vancouver (YVR) to Edmonton (YEG).

3. Enter in your desired dates (an estimate is okay too).

4. Scroll through the available options and search for flights that are $49 for the departure and $59 for the return.

Flair Air’s baggage guidelines:

In order to save more money, you’ll want to have an idea of what you’re packing when you book your flight.

Flair’s price structure only allows for a personal bag under the seat. If you’d like to bring a carry-on bag or checked luggage, it will cost anywhere from $26 to $40. It’s actually cheaper to pay for checked luggage in advance ($26 to $28) and forego the overhard luggage if possible.
