We’re bringing you a few meatless dishes that won’t break the bank (or leave you wishing for bacon and ribs). Check out some must-try vegetarian spots serving grub for $10 or less.

The Foundation

A strictly vegetarian restaurant, The Foundation is a go-to spot when choosing to go meatless. Everything on the Bean Reinvented menu is $9 or less, and includes the Foundation Burger, BLT-ish,and the Maple Bean Chile. Dining with friends? We highly suggest pooling your funds and ordering the Utopian Nachos ($14 for a small and $18 for a large).

MeeT on Main

Between the lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and tasty eats with affordable prices, Meet on Main is a haven for vegetarian diners on a budget. One of our favourite dishes is the Hocus-Pocus complete with fries, onion rings, chipotle mayo and cashew gravy for $8.75. They also have a location in Gastown.

The Eatery

Though sushi can add up, at The Eatery there are a few dishes you can order that will silence those hunger pangs. Try the veggie or tofu Yaki Soba or Yaki Udon for $9.95, or the Soba Noodle Soup with the same meatless options for $7.95.

The NAAM Cafe has been a Vancouver institution in the heart of Kitsilano since the 1960’s. Serving only the freshest ingredients, chow down on the Scrambled Tofu for $8.75 during their weekend brunch.

Bandidas Taqueria

If you’re having a stroll along The Drive, pop by Bandidas (just a block away from the Commercial Drive Station) for your dose of vegetarian Mexican food. With three tacos only costing $8.50 or a burrito for $9.75, you can never go wrong. PS pretty soon you’ll be able to eat these around the clock!
