Dec 19 2017, 9:51 pm

Are you, or is someone you know, making a positive change in the world? Do you have a connection to UBC? If so, alumni UBC is inviting you to tap into the power of the UBC community. Share details of your inspirational projects through the “your evolution” program and you could win a special “social entrepreneur support kit” to help further your cause.

your evolution” is an innovative, online project-sharing platform that enables alumni, faculty, staff and partners to connect and support fellow alumni working on projects they are passionate about. By telling your story you could raise the profile of your cause and attract funding or volunteers.

UBC graduates, students, faculty, staff, volunteers and donors who are involved in socially beneficial projects can upload their stories up until March 1 to www.yourevolution.ubc.ca. Ten projects will be shortlisted and the public will then be asked to vote for their favourite.

The winner will receive the following:

  • Professional photography session or the production of a promotional video
  • Mentoring session with UBC President, Professor Arvind Gupta
  • Access to a consultation with a UBC faculty member in an area relevant to your project’s needs (e.g. business, law, engineering)
