Beer starts to flow at Central City's Bridgeview Brewery thanks to new lounge license

Good news for Surrey-based beer drinkers: Central City Brewers + Distillers has just secured its lounge license, which means that the Bridgeview Drive locale can now serve multiple rounds of craft beer in its very own brewery lounge.

Previously, Central City faced restrictions, only holding a license to serve taster sizes, which they served from their taproom. With the new lounge license, the brewery has been given a new lease of life, thanks to the opportunity to expand their drinks and food options.

In addition to their craft beers, Central City will also provide customers with a readily available food menu, offering small plate dishes that have been created to compliment the craft beer being poured.

Located just off King George Highway near the Pattullo Bridge, Central City’s lounge is sizable, 3,000 square feet in fact, and has a capacity for 100 people.

High top tables and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the brewery’s glistening stainless steel fermentation tanks and copper still kettles make the lounge a great spot to enjoy a pint or two.

The lounge also features growler fill stations for those who want to take some of Central City’s award-winning craft brew home.
