Celtic Fest 2011 Vancouver

Dec 19 2017, 12:52 pm

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and the parade goes down this weekend. Also this week is Celtic Fest Vancouver! There will be 60+ free and ticketed shows, with music, dance, film, storytelling and much more. For five days (March 16 – 20), the sound of bagpipes will fill the streets, pubs and venues. So after work head on over to Western Canada’s largest and most popular Celtic celebration.

The festival’s Celtic Village & Street Market returns to its original location Granville Street (between Georgia & Smithe Street), on Saturday, March 19 & Sunday, March 20, 2011.

At the Celtic Village you’ll encounter wandering players walking about playing their instruments and singing. There will be no green beer drinking as this is a kid friendly event.  Bring the kids for Irish storytelling, face painting and fun, interactive entertainment. Discover a wealth of Celtic arts, crafts and goods in the Village Market.

There’ll be Celtic music in the air, with free Celtic performances on the Music Stage throughout the festival weekend.

Celtic Village & Market Hours
