14 celebrities you can spot in Vancouver in April

In Hollywood North, it seems like there’s always a chance that a celebrity is right around the corner – waiting to be spotted grabbing an early morning coffee or maybe a few late night drinks.

But don’t leave it up to chance, especially when we can tell you exactly who to keep your eyes peeled for around town. Here are 14 celebrities to try and spot in Vancouver this April.

Meghan Ory

Meghan Ory will return to Vancouver for her role as Abby O’Brien in Hallmark’s Chesapeake Shores which starts production this month. Born in Victoria, BC, Ory has also starred in Once Upon a Time as Ruby filmed right here in Steveston Village.

Jesse Metcalfe

Joining Ory on the set of Chesapeake Shores is Jesse Metcalfe. You may remember him best for his role as heartthrob John Rowland on Desperate Housewives, and the lead role in John Tucker Must Die.

Ruby Rose

Ruby Rose may be spotted in Vancouver this Spring filming for the new TV series Batwoman. Rose is best known for her role in Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, along with movies like John Wick: Chapter 2, Pitch Perfect 3 and The Meg. 

Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa may be spotted in Vancouver this April. Momoa is in town filming for his latest role in the TV series See. He is usually best recognized for playing Khal Drogo in the HBO series Game of Thrones, or as Declan Harp from the Netflix series Frontier. 

Alfre Woodard

Joining Momoa on the set of See is award-winning actress Alfre Woodard. Woodard has been acting since the 1970’s and has starred in movies and TV shows such as Star Trek: First Contact, Miss Evers’ Boys, 12 Years a Slave, The Forgotten, Luke Cage, and Desperate Housewives among many others.

Will Ferrell

If you’re lucky enough, you may spot Will Ferrell in the Metro Vancouver area this April! Ferrell is in town as an executive producer for the new TV series Motherland. This funnyman is widely recognized for his comedic roles in movies like Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Stepbrothers, Talladega Nights, Daddy’s Home, Get Hard and who could forget when he dressed up in tights in Elf.

KJ Apa

Oh, Archie *sigh* who can resist this red headed cutie?!

KJ Apa will be in the Vancouver area filming for the third season of Riverdale. Apa is an up and coming actor from New Zealand who snagged the lead role of Archie in Riverdale and also starred in the feature film A Dog’s Purpose.

Lili Reinhart

Lili Reinhart will also join Apa on location in Vancouver for Riverdale. Reinhart has the lead role of Betty in the series and has also made appearances in Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit, along with The Good NeighborMiss Stevens, and Forever’s End. Most recently she was cast in the upcoming film Galveston.

Camila Mendes

Of course, there would be no Betty without Veronica! Camila Mendes will also be in Vancouver filming for the third season of Riverdale. Rumour has it that Mendes had her first acting job on an IKEA commercial before going on to star in Riverdale as main character Veronica.

Cole Sprouse

Rounding out this foursome is Cole Sprouse, known as character Jughead Jones and narrator of the Riverdale series.

Sprouse rose to fame at an early age starring alongside his twin brother in Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. He also starred in Big Daddy and even a few Friends episodes – remember Ross’s adorable son?

Stephen Amell

Stephen Amell will be in town this month to finish filming the seventh season of Arrow. Born in Toronto, the Canadian actor has also made appearances in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash, along with Queer as Folk and New Girl to name a few.

Melissa Benoist may be seen in Vancouver this month filming for season three of the hit show Supergirl. Benoist has made appearances in GleeHomelandThe Good Wife and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
