Few things are cooler than realizing your favourite show or movie is filmed right in your hometown. It seems like there’s always a chance that your favourite celebrity is right around the corner, waiting to be spotted grabbing an early morning coffee or maybe a few late night drinks.

Keanu Reeves will be in Vancouver this July for his newest role in Netflix’s romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe. Reeves has starred in many blockbuster hits like the John Wick films, Speed, and The Matrix series among others.
Ali Wong
Also joining Reeves on the set of Always Be My Maybe is actress and comedian Ali Wong. Wong is known for her stand-up comedy specials like Baby Cobra, and Hard Knock Wife which aired on Netflix, along with making appearances in television shows like American Housewife, Are You There Chelsea?, and Black Box.
Seth Rogen
Vancouver native Seth Rogen will be in the city this July for his role as a producer in the comedy Good Boys. Rogen is known for his comedic roles in movies like Pineapple Express, Knocked Up, Superbad, and Funny People among many others.
Amanda Seyfried
Amanda Seyfried will be in Vancouver through to July for her latest role in the feature film The Art of Racing in the Rain. Seyfried had her breakthrough role in the blockbuster movie Mean Girls before going on to star in Dear John, Letters to Juliet, Red Riding Hood, and Ted 2 among others.
Milo Ventimiglia
Also joining Seyfried on the set of The Art of Racing in the Rain is Milo Ventimiglia. Ventimiglia has starred in hit shows like Gilmore Girls, Heroes, but he most recently he stole/broke our hearts as Jack Pearson in NBC’s This Is Us.
Orlando Bloom
Orlando Bloom will be in Vancouver this July for his role in Needle in a Timestack. Bloom has starred in movies like Troy, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy among others.
Freddie Highmore
Best known for his creepy portrayal of Norman Bates in the TV series Bates Motel, Freddie Highmore will be in Vancouver filming for the second season of The Good Doctor. Highmore has been acting since he was a child and has starred in films like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland, and The Spiderwick Chronicles.
Alyson Hannigan
Alyson Hannigan will be in Vancouver this July for her role in Disney’s live-action reboot of Kim Possible. Hannigan is known for playing soft-spoken witch Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as Lily in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
Rachel Bilson
You may remember her best for her portrayal of Summer Roberts on The OC, or maybe Dr. Zoe Hart from Heart of Dixie. Rachel Bilson will be in town this July for her newest role in the TV series Take Two.
Eddie Cibrian
Starring alongside Bilson in Take Two is Eddie Cibrian. Cibrian has starred in hit TV series like CSI: Miami, Third Watch, and the 1990s series Sunset Beach.
KJ Apa
Oh Archie *sigh* who can resist this red headed cutie?!
KJ Apa will be in Vancouver this summer filming the third season of Riverdale. Apa is an up and coming actor from New Zealand who snagged the lead role of Archie in Riverdale and has also starred in the feature film A Dog’s Purpose.
Lili Reinhart
Lili Reinhart will also join Apa on location in Vancouver for Riverdale. Reinhart has the lead role of Betty in the series, and has also made appearances in Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit, along with The Good Neighbor, Miss Stevens, and Forever’s End. Most recently she was cast in the upcoming film Galveston.
Camila Mendes
Of course, there would be no Betty without Veronica!
Camila Mendes will also be in Vancouver filming for the third season of Riverdale. Rumour has it that Mendes had her first acting job on an IKEA commercial before going on to star in Riverdale as main character Veronica.
Cole Sprouse
Rounding out this foursome of course is Cole Sprouse, known as character Jughead Jones and narrator of the Riverdale series.
Sprouse rose to fame at an early age starring alongside his twin brother in Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. He also starred in Big Daddy and even a few Friends episodes – remember Ross’s adorable son?!
Ron Livingston
Ron Livingston will be in Vancouver this July for his latest role in season one of A Million Little Things. Livingston has starred in TV series like Boardwalk Empire, Band of Brothers, and Standoff, or maybe you remember him back in the day as Jack Berger from Sex and the City.
Eric McCormack
Best known for playing Will from the hit show Will & Grace, Eric McCormack will be in Vancouver filming for season three of Travelers. McCormack has also starred in TV series like Perception and Trust Me, among others.
MacKenzie Porter
Also in town for season three of Travelers is Canadian singer and actress MacKenzie Porter. Growing up, MacKenzie toured in a family band alongside her brother and Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter. She has made small appearances in shows like Supernatural and Hell on Wheels before snagging one of the lead roles in Travelers.
Meghan Ory
Meghan Ory will return to Vancouver for her role as Abby O’Brien in Hallmark’s Chesapeake Shores, which is currently filming season three. Born in Victoria, BC, Ory has also starred in Once Upon a Time as Ruby – aka Red Riding Hood – filmed right here in Steveston Village.
Jesse Metcalf
Jesse Metcalfe will also join Ory in Vancouver for the filming of the third season of Chesapeake Shores. He is best known for his role as heartthrob John Rowland on Desperate Housewives, and the lead role in John Tucker Must Die.
Stephen Amell
Stephen Amell will be back in town this July to film the seventh season of Arrow. Born in Toronto, the Canadian actor has also made appearances in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash, along with Queer as Folk and New Girl to name a few.
Melissa Benoist
Step aside Superman, Supergirl is back to save the day!
Melissa Benoist will be in Vancouver to film season 3 of the hit show Supergirl. Benoist has made appearances in Glee, Homeland, The Good Wife and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Ian Anthony Dale
Ian Anthony Dale will likely be in Vancouver through to August for his role in the second season of Salvation. Dale has made appearances in TV shows like Hawaii Five-O, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and 24.
Kiernan Shipka
This 18-year-old has been acting since she was a child, and recently snagged the lead role in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Kiernan Shipka is mostly known for her role as Sally Draper in Mad Men, but you might remember her as the voice of Jinora in the animated series The Legend of Korra.
Grant Gustin
Back in action for the fifth season of The Flash, Grant Gustin will be on location in Vancouver through to April 2019. Gustin has also had roles in shows like 90210, Glee along with making appearances in Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Arrow.
Jared Padalecki
Back to film its 14th season, Jared Padalecki will be in Vancouver for his role of Sam in Supernatural. Padalecki has also starred in Gilmore Girls, House of Wax and alongside the Olsen twins in New York Minute.
Jensen Ackles
Joining Padalecki on set is Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean in Supernatural. Ackles made his big break starring in the soap opera Days of Our Lives, along with Smallville and My Bloody Valentine 3D.
Dominic Purcell
Dominic Purcell will likely be in Vancouver this July filming for his role in the TV series Legends of Tomorrow. You may remember him best as Lincoln Burrows from Prison Break which recently got renewed for a sixth season.
Lori Loughlin
Lori Loughlin will be in Vancouver this July for her role in the Hallmark series When the Heart Calls. Loughlin is best known for playing Uncle Jesse’s other half on the hit show Full House, which led to her reoccurring role on Netflix’s Fuller House.
