All the celebrities to try and spot in Vancouver this January

A new year brings some new celebrity faces to try and spot on the streets of Vancouver.
With several movies and TV shows currently in production, plus big concerts and shows coming to the city, there will be plenty of stars that you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of.
From Justin Hartley to Shane Gillis — keep your eyes peeled around town. Here are all the celebrities to try and spot in Vancouver this January.
Justin Hartley

Be on the lookout for Justin Hartley in Vancouver! Hartley is currently filming for the second season of the CBS series Tracker, which will be in town until April.
Hartley is widely known for his role as Kevin in the popular NBC series This Is Us, which ran from 2016 to 2022. Or maybe you remember him as Adam Newman from the daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless or Oliver Queen from Smallville. He has also been in films like A Bad Moms Christmas, Senior Year with Rebel Wilson, and most recently, The Noel Diary on Netflix.
Fiona Renee
Fiona Rene is also in town to film Tracker in her role as Reenie Greene.
Rene is no stranger to Vancouver-shot productions, having appeared in several episodes of Fire Country. Her credits also include The Lincoln Lawyer, The Rookie, and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Max Thieriot

Another celebrity to spot in January is Max Thieriot. Thieriot is in Vancouver to film for the third season of the CBS series Fire Country, where he has the lead role as a young convict named Bode Donovan.
Thieriot has starred in quite a few movies and television shows over the years, from a longtime role on Bates Motel to SEAL Team to movies like Jumper, The House at the End of the Street with Jennifer Lawrence, and one of his earliest roles in The Pacifier alongside Vin Diesel.
Billy Burke
Billy Burke is also in town filming for the third season of Fire Country. Burke is typically recognized as Charlie Swan from Twilight (aka Bella’s dad), or maybe you remember him in the movie Red Riding Hood or the CBS series Zoo. Most recently, he played Alex’s dad in the Netflix miniseries Maid, which was filmed in Victoria, BC.
Alan Tudyk

Alan Tudyk is a Primetime Emmy-nominated actor who is very familiar with Vancouver and BC thanks to his starring role as Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle in Resident Alien. The USA Network series is currently in production locally and is based on a popular comic book series of the same name.
Alan Tudyk is beloved for many iconic roles throughout his career, including Wash in Firefly and Serenity, K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Andor, and Heihei in Moana.
Sara Tomko
Sara Tomko stars as Asta Twelvetrees in Resident Alien, which is currently filming season four around Vancouver and BC.
The classically-trained singer has also appeared on ABC’s Once Upon a Time, S.W.A.T., and Sneaky Pete.
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee

Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is currently filming in Vancouver, so there’s a chance that you will see stars like Paul Sun-Hyung Lee around the city.
Walker Scobell
Fast-rising star Walker Scobell will be in the Metro Vancouver area filming for the latest season of Disney+’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians, also going by its working title of “Mink Golden.”
Scobell is also known for playing the younger version of Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project and starring alongside Owen Wilson in Secret Headquarters.
Justin Collette

Broadway actor Justin Collette will be in Vancouver this month in the starring role for Broadway Across Canada’s Beetlejuice, an eight-time Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical based on the hit Tim Burton film.
Collette provided the voice for Cupcake in the Netflix series Cupcake & Dino: General Services and has written for the Roku original Doomlands. Dished also got a chance to chat with him recently about Beetlejuic’s favourite eats.
Vince Staples
Rapper, actor and comedian Vince Staples will be in Vancouver starting this month to film the second season of The Vince Staples Show for Netflix.
The platinum-selling artist Staples has appeared in TV shows like Abbott Elementary and films like White Men Can’t Jump.
Shane Gillis

Shane Gillis
Stand-up comic, podcaster, and actor Shane Gillis is coming to Rogers Arena on Friday, January 31. The co-host of Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast was named one of Just for Laughs’ “New Faces” in 2019 and stars in the Netflix series Tires. Gillis also hosted SNL in 2024.
