19 celebrities you can spot in Vancouver in July
The sizzlin’ summer heat is upon us – and its about to get even hotter as a host of Hollywood stars descend on Vancouver.
This month’s possible celebrity sightings may just make you weak in the knees – but we’ll let you be the judge of that!
Here are 19 celebrities you can spot in Vancouver during July.

Ryan Reynolds
Prepare yourself Vancouverites – Ryan Reynolds is in town!
Reynolds will be returning to his hometown of Vancouver to film Deadpool 2, known by its working title of ‘Love Machine’. Production began recently and is set to continue into October.
Vince Vaughn
Vince Vaughn will be in Vancouver this July for his new role in Dragged Across Concrete. Best known for witty one-liners and his unmistakable nattering, Vaughn has appeared in movies such as Old School, Wedding Crashers, The Break-Up and The Internship among many more.
Mel Gibson
Joining Vaughn on the set of Dragged Across Concrete is Mel Gibson. Gibson has been acting for years, along with producing and directing. He has starred in box office hits like the Mad Max films, Braveheart, The Passion of the Christ, Signs and Hacksaw Ridge to name a few.
Anna Faris
Known for her comedic roles, platinum blonde hair, and natural charisma, Anna Faris is in Vancouver for her new role in the romantic comedy Overboard. Production started in late May and will continue into July.
Faris rose to fame starring in the first four Scary Movies as main character Cindy. She is also known for her role in The House Bunny, What’s Your Number? and most recently, as Christy on the CBS sitcom Mom.
Eva Longoria
Joining Faris on the set for Overboard is Eva Longoria. Longoria made her breakthrough on The Young and the Restless and then went on to star in Desperate Housewives, Telenovela, and most recently a few episodes of Empire.
KJ Apa
Oh Archie *sigh* who can resist this red headed cutie?!
KJ Apa will be in Vancouver this summer filming the second season of Riverdale. Apa is an up and coming actor from New Zealand who snagged the lead role in Riverdale this past year and has also starred in the feature film A Dog’s Purpose.
Lili Reinhart
Lili Reinhart will also join Apa on location in Vancouver for Riverdale. Reinhart has the lead role of Betty in the series, and has also made appearances in Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit, along with The Good Neighbor, Miss Stevens, and Forever’s End. Most recently she was cast in the upcoming film Galveston.
Camila Mendes
Of course there would be no Betty without Veronica!
Camila Mendes will also be in Vancouver filming the second season of Riverdale. Rumour has it that Mendes had her first acting job on an IKEA commercial before going on to star in Riverdale as main character Veronica.
Burkley Duffield
Burkey Duffield is a Canadian actor who is born and raised in Vancouver. He is known for playing Eddie in House of Anubis and is currently plays the lead role of Holden in Beyond, which is filming season two in Vancouver until August.
Jonathan Whitesell
From Vancouver Island, BC Jonathan Whitesell also stars in Beyond alongside Duffield. He is known for his roles in The Hollow and The Unspoken.
Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn will be in Vancouver this July filming for The Predator, a squeal to the 1987 sci-fi movie Predator. She is best known for starring in TV series Beyond the Break, The Newsroom and feature film X-Men: Apocalypse.
Jacob Tremblay
Jacob Tremblay will be in his hometown of Vancouver for his role in The Predator. The child star made his debut in The Smurfs 2 and then went on to star in Room, Before I Wake and Shut In.
Jason Alexander
Jason Alexander will be in town for his new TV show Hit the Road, which began production in late May and will continue into July. You may remember him for his longtime role of George Costanza on Seinfield.
Meghan Ory
Meghan Ory will return to Vancouver for her role as Abby O’Brien in Chesapeake Shores, which is currently filming season two. Born in Victoria, BC Ory has also starred in Once Upon a Time as Ruby aka red riding hood filmed here in Steveston Village.
Jesse Metcalfe
Jesse Metcalfe will also join Ory in Vancouver for the filming of Chesapeake Shores. He is best known for his role as heartthrob John Rowland on Desperate Housewives, and the lead role in John Tucker Must Die.
Jared Padalecki
Back to film its 13th season, Jared Padalecki will be in Vancouver for his role of Sam in Supernatural. Padalecki has also starred in Gilmore Girls, House of Wax and alongside the Olsen twins in New York Minute.
Jensen Ackles
Joining Padalecki on set is Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean in Supernatural. Ackles made his big break starring in the soap opera Days of Our Lives, along with Smallville and My Bloody Valentine 3D.
Melissa Benoist
Step aside Superman, Supergirl is back to save the day!
Melissa Benoist will be in Vancouver to film season 3 of the hit show Supergirl. Benoist has made appearances in Glee, Homeland, The Good Wife and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Stephen Amell
Stephen Amell will be back in town this July to film the sixth season of Arrow. Born in Toronto, the Canadian actor has also made appearances in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash, along with Queer as Folk and New Girl to name a few.
