Celebrating Parks Canada's 100th Anniversary with CPAWS

Dec 19 2017, 1:02 pm

The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) and Parks Canada are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Parks Canada. They are asking Canadians to help build the first national parks bucket list. Seems like everyone has one these days so why not?

To enter the contest, you simply write, in 50 words or less, the story of your national parks dream experience. Maybe it’s surfing the big waves of Pacific Rim National Park, or hiking the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton? We’re looking for dreams ranging from the wildest excursion to the most stunning view, wildlife sighting, paddling haven or trekking thrill.

The top-voted dream will win the grand prize trip for two to the Nahanni. The trip includes airfare from anywhere in Canada, and is valued at more than $10,000. The two runners up will receive prize packages valued at over $500 and $300 each and include a Mountain Equipment Co-Op Shopping Spree, Parks Canada National Park and Historic Site Seasonal Passes, great gear by CPAWS and offers from Explore Magazine.
