Ce Soir Noir is back for its fourth annual free picnic of darkness at Creekside Park on August 23.
This event is pretty much the opposite of Dîner en Blanc, as guests are asked to show up dressed head to toe in black, and come equipped with a blanket and all the food and beverages they can handle.

After you’re set up, the organizers encourage people to “do next-to-nothing” – which sounds like a good plan to us.
In the description of the even on Facebook organizers noted “The location has changed and so has the mood,” and also mentioned, “This is not just a picnic; this is a picnic based art installation.”
It also reminds attendees that while you bring what you want, you’re expected to take what you bring “so that when we leave it’s as spotless as it was when we came. No square folding tables, no chairs, no dogs and no open flame.”
And the most important rule of all? No white – not even white stripes – should be worn to this annual picnic of darkness.
