2 comes to Vancouver!

CB2 is one of the newest home furnishing stores that will be coming in Vancouver opening on February 18th. As the second CB2 in Canada, it’s home will be in the newly renovated Pacific Palisades space at Robson and Jervis. As Crate and Barrel’s (opening it’s first Vancouver store in Oakridge) younger, more hip sister company, CB2 is “affordable modern for apartment, loft, home”. It even has a cooler name!

Their products are smart, thoughtfully designed and affordable enough for the average person. Which means great designs, that you can actually take home; not only for lustful eye shopping, or Pinterest pinning. To put it in a Vancouver-context, I even dare to say that it is: more unique than IKEA, more consistent than HomeSense but not the Yaletown/Gastown furniture prices.  If you’re a local, you’ll know what I mean.

And in addition to transforming your home space, they have an online space that they call CB2 Community that allows your to review products, share design ideas and even shop by product reviews. I love companies that integrate online and store front worlds, so that you can research on the web but go in to touch and feel the product if you so desire for those bigger purchases.

I see it as a great shop to scope out each season to update your home with the latest trends and items. And with Nood closing their doors, it will better serve a niche in the market. Located in 11 major cities throughout North America, I’m excited to see this retailer come to town.
