Prepare yourself for a summer of free outdoor concerts in Deep Cove, thanks to the return of the Cates Park Concert Series.
Since 1997, the series has come to the waterfront stage in front of the food concession stand in Cates Park, providing an opportunity for exposure for local bands and artists. Every Saturday, a new artist entertains the crowd in the days leading up to Deep Cove Daze, an annual summer community arts fest.
Developed by Jeff Maynard and Tyler Pearson, the Cates Park Concert Series started with old equipment and no budget, and has since grown into an event that has showcased thousands of artists over the years.
If you love what you hear during the series, compilation CDs are available for purchase, and all the proceeds go to supporting these up-and-coming bands and artists.
