Five nominated BC play spaces are competing to receive your vote in order to win $100,000 worth of refurbishments. The winner will be transformed into a community gem for kids and families.

The out-of-date play spaces in Burnaby, Crawford Bay, Lillooet, Vancouver, and Victoria are finalists in BCAA’s Play Here initiative, which aims to keep kids safe in their communities with better places to play.

In April, hundreds of people across the province nominated their local splash pads, skate parks, community centres, and playgrounds in need of revitalization, in hopes that kids in their community will benefit from up to $100,000 to make it happen.

After judges worked hard to narrow down entrants to the final five, it’s now time for the public to vote to choose the winner.

You can vote daily until June 29, so spread the word and get your community involved to help boost votes for your favourite play space. BCAA Play Here will announce the winner on July 11 on Global TV.

Here’s where you can check out photos, videos, and details of the five play space finalists.

In addition to BCAA Play Here, other BCAA community programs include the Community Child Car Seat Program, School Safety Patrol, Neighbourhood Safety Programs, and many more.
