A pop-up carnival is coming to Metro Vancouver this weekend
It seems like Vancouver’s being spoiled with ample amounts of childhood nostalgia, as yet another pop-up carnival makes its way to Metro Vancouver.
In addition to the current festivities at Playdome 2018, Western Canada’s largest indoor carnival, a pop-up carnival will be coming to Surrey just in time for the long weekend.
The outdoor festivities comes from West Coast Amusement, the same team who puts together PlayDome and a number of other pop-up events in British Columbia.
The fairground will have all your favourite and most nostalgic carnival rides, many of them which you’ll remember from being end-of-summer classics at the Fair at the PNE.
Rides vary from childhood favourites like the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and bumper cars, as well as faster, more intense rides to get your adrenaline pumping.
During a much-needed break, visitors can spend time between rides winning prizes at a handful of different carnival games or enjoying some classic fair food. Corn dogs, mini-doughnuts, candy apples, and snow cones are just a taste of the food you’ll be able to find at the carnival.
The carnival will be open from Thursday, March 29 t0 Monday, April 2 as well as Thursday, April 5 to Sunday, April 8. Hours can be found on their website and vary by date.
Tickets for rides are available in packs of 20 and 40 for $23 and $45 respectively, or you can buy a wristband to enjoy rides for the entire day. Wristbands start at $30.
