Whether you’ll be entering the workforce for the first time, or you’re thinking of changing careers, My Blueprint Builder can help. It’s your access point to the wealth of career opportunities in B.C.

Announced today at the Premier’s Natural Resource Forum in Prince George — My Blueprint Builder is an online service that is tailored to you. You answer a few simple questions, and from there you explore the resources the builder singles out for you.

Among other things, the builder can help you choose a career, create a plan for education and funding, and find a job in B.C.

1. Career Compass

No idea what you want to do? This tool is a short quiz that will suggest five careers from three industries that suit your answers.

2. Labour Market Navigator

If you’re contemplating changing industries, check the prospects of your current and proposed industry. Included in this tool are business, health, mining, construction, and more.

3. Education Planner

B.C. has an array of post-secondary institutions with comprehensive programs to prepare you for the workforce. The Education Planner allows you to enter a search term and find programs all over the province.

4. Apprentice Job Match Tool

Find an apprenticeship for your level of certification. This tool will match you to employer sponsors so you can gain valuable experience and grow your career.
