Vancouver’s biggest car-free day is returning this summer, in one of the city’s most popular neighbourhoods.

The Main Street Car Free Festival will turn into a giant block party with 15 stages and mini-festivals along the entire street.

The event is filled with activities that promote growth in car-free zones and collaboration with a variety of the city’s communities. Best of all there are no cars in sight for all 21 blocks of Main Street.

Attractions include street hockey with the Collingwood Community Police, stage performances at the Biltmore Cabaret, and skateboard-related activities at Anti-Social Skateboards.

All are welcome to come and enjoy the festivities popping up in the neighbourhood, during the mid-June block party.

The event is one of the three major community street festivals, alongside one on  Commercial Drive and one in the West End.
