The new restaurant concepts just keep on comin’, and Capo and the Spritz is one we’re seriusly stoked about.

Set to open mid-September, the relaxed pizzeria and cocktail spot is a new partnership between Autostrada Hospitality and the OPUS Vancouver.

Capo and the Spritz will take over the space of La Pentola in the Yaletown hotel. Cocktail bar concept “Spritz” will operate in the former place of OPUS Bar.

This concept has some noteworthy names attached to it, including Chef Travis McCord who will be at the helm of the kitchen, which is set to offer Neapolitan inspired pizza and other Italian favourites.

As for the drink program, award winning bartender Kaitlyn Stewart will come onboard as Bar Director.

“We are excited to be in partnership with OPUS Vancouver in the creation of CAPO and the Spritz. Not only is OPUS a fixture in Vancouver’s hotel and hospitality scene, but Yaletown represents an exciting opportunity for us to bring a new concept to this vibrant neighbourhood,” shared by Dustin Dockendorf, Founder of Autostrada Hospitality.

Dockendorf told Daily Hive they are aiming for this spot to be a “drop in anytime” kind of space, expecting opening hours to be 11 am to midnight daily, and that includes a weekend brunch service too.

The interior design will be done by Ste. Marie Art + Design. We’re told patrons can expect a polished and stylish space once it’s completed.

We’ll keep you posted when Capo and the Spritz reveals its opening date, stay tuned!
