Some news from the Canucks front office today, as the Aquilini Group has announced that Victor de Bonis will be taking on a new role as the Aquilini Group’s Chief Operating Officer. He will remain involved in Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE).

Here are the details from the media release:

De Bonis’ new role will have him now oversee Aquilini Group’s Entertainment, Hospitality and Treasury Divisions. He will stay closely involved with the Vancouver Canucks as he continues to oversee the team’s business operations, including his successor on the Senior Leadership Team. He will also continue to work with and support Hockey Operations President Trevor Linden and will continue to foster League relations as Alternate Governor, NHL.

De Bonis has been the COO of Canucks Sports & Entertainment since 2007 and has been a part of the organization for over 22 years. He has been responsible for the business side of hockey, which has grown significantly under his tenure in the last nine years. Basically, he has been the man in charge of everything in Rogers Arena, outside of the ice surface.

“Victor is a strong leader that will help our growing businesses, including integrating our entire group of operating companies,” said Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini through a media release. “CSE is one of the strongest sports and entertainment companies in North America thanks to Victor and the collective vision and efforts of his team. I am very proud of what we have accomplished and I’m looking forward to this next chapter of our business.”
