Canucks send Grenier back to Utica Comets

Dec 20 2017, 4:57 am

The Vancouver Canucks have reassigned forward Alex Grenier to the their AHL affiliate in Utica.

Grenier appeared in five games for the Canucks on this call-up, playing significant time riding shotgun with Daniel and Henrik Sedin on the team’s top line. He went pointless while registering five shots.

The most memorable moment from his stint was nearly ending the Canucks’ scoring drought against Winnipeg. Of course, his stick gave way on him, providing a nice metaphor for the Canucks’ season to date.

Grenier has no points in 6 NHL games this season and 37 points (13-24-37) in the AHL.
