Vancouver FM radio station makes Canucks broadcast news official
Vancouver won’t have an all-sports radio station for the 2026-27 season, but Vancouver Canucks games will still be on the radio.
Daily Hive first reported back in August that the Canucksā radio broadcasts would be moving to 104.9 FM. Now the move has been made official, according to an Instagram post from the radio station.
“It’s official,” reads the Instagram post. “KiSS Throwbacks is the new home for Vancouver Canucks radio broadcasts!ā£”
The radio station, which rebranded as KiSS Throwbacks last year, primarily plays “all the hits of the ’90s & 2000s [sic],” which feels appropriate for a Canucks team that hasn’t been legitimately good for over a decade.
KiSS Throwbacks is available at 104.9 FM in Vancouver, 92.5 FM in Abbotsford, and 107.5 FM in Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley.
The announcement also said that longtime play-by-play broadcaster Brendan Batchelor will return, along with colour commentator Randip Janda, which was independently confirmed by Batchelor himself.

The radio station didn’t provide additional information regarding pre-game or post-game shows, though we expect that to be the case. We’re also awaiting word on whether the station will include other sports-talk content.
