The Vancouver Canucks made the most of the Halloween weekend.
Though the team dropped a 4-2 decision to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, that didn’t stop players from going out for Halloween festivities afterward. It looks like Canucks players had a party planned after the game, and they didn’t disappoint with their costumes.
Many players pulled out all the stops alongside their girlfriends and wives. Elias Pettersson may be a frontrunner for best costume as he dressed up as Cindy Lou Who while his wife, Katelyn, dressed up as the Grinch.
The Swedish forward was all smiles, and he should be, as he’s off to a point-per-game pace this season.

Filip Hronek was also a standout in the costume department. He and his wife, Dominika, paired up for a couples costume as well, with the Canucks defenceman dressing up as a trapped Nemo in a bag from the Pixar movie Finding Nemo, while his wife held onto the bag dressed as Darla, braces and all.
Incorporating the bag into the getup made this an exceptional costume.
The other Elias Pettersson also got creative with his costume. Perhaps embracing that he is the younger Pettersson, the defenceman dressed as a young Justin Bieber for the party, complete with the pop star’s signature swoopy hair and a mic.
It appears he and his girlfriend, Disa, took inspiration from a moment all the way back in 2010, when Bieber serenaded a fan on stage.
Elvis was also in the building for the Canucks Halloween party. New addition Paul Cotter came as the king and did not disappoint. Though it may be more in the style of Vegas, Cotter donned Elvis’ iconic glitzy jacket, some aviators, and, of course, found a wig to mimic the signature hair.
His fiancĆ©e, Caylie, kept with the theme, dressing up as Elvis’ wife Priscilla.
Rounding out the most memorable costumes were Liam Ćhgren’s Viking getup and Linus Karlsson taking inspiration from Germany with some lederhosen.’
It may not be the start that Canucks players wanted to the season, but they are finding ways to have fun along the way. Staying light and having fun are important for teams going through tough rebuilds, and it seems like this group gels well off the ice.
