Although it’s spooky season, for the Vancouver Canucks, there’s nothing more frightening than their injury list.
The Canucks have an astounding nine players who are currently injured, not including minor leaguers or Pierre-Olivier Joseph, who has returned from an earlier injury.
Brock Boeser was the latest to go down with an injury last game, after he took a slapshot to the midsection from his own teammate.

Here’s an update on the nine Canucks players who are currently hurt.
1. Quinn Hughes
2025-26 stats: 9 GP, 1 G, 6 A, 7 PTS
Games missed: three
The Canucks captain last played against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, Oct. 25. He was out there in the final minute, but he hasn’t been back since.
CHEK’s Rick Dhaliwal reported this week that Hughes is battling a groin injury. He also mentioned that it’s not considered to be serious, and that he could still join the Canucks for their remaining two games on the road in Minnesota and Nashville.
2. Brock Boeser
2025-26 stats: 10 GP, 4 G, 2 A, 6 PTS
Games missed: two
The two games Brock Boeser missed were due to the sudden passing of his dog, Coolie. However, the 28-year-old essentially missed the Canucks last game against the St. Louis Blues. He suffered an injury in the opening minute of the game and didn’t return.
Thankfully, the injury isn’t serious, and head coach Adam Foote said postgame that Boeser could play tomorrow in Minnesota. He was also spotted at practice on Friday by Sportsnet’s Dan Murphy.

3. Conor Garland
2025-26 stats: 11 GP, 3 G, 8 A, 11 PTS
Games missed: one
Conor Garland exited the Canucks contest against the New York Rangers on Tuesday, Oct. 28. It’s unclear when he actually was injured, although he did take a thunderous hit from Rangers’ forward Sam Carrick in the first period.
Garland played until the end of the second period of that game and hasn’t been back since.
He didn’t travel with the team on the road, and it doesn’t sound like he’ll join them either, according to Dhaliwal.
4. Filip Chytil
2025-26 stats: 6 GP, 3 G, 0 A, 3 PTS
Games missed: six
This injury is a massive blow.
First and foremost is because of Chytil’s history with concussions. While the Canucks have yet to use that word with Chytil’s latest injury, Allvin did allude to the fact that he’s going through the protocols before he returns.
Chytil was injured on this hit from Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson.

His injury is also a monumental hit to the Canucks centre depth, which was already paper-thin entering the season.
Chytil was looking like a legitimate second-line centre through the Canucks first six games, scoring three goals while being their best shot generator at 5-on-5.
5. Nils Höglander
2025-26 stats: none
Games missed: 12
Nils Höglander looked like he was primed for a bounce-back season after scoring just eight goals in 72 games in 2024-25.
However, he’s been sidelined since suffering a sprained ankle in the Canucks’ second preseason game. The team announced that he underwent surgery on Monday, Sept. 29 and that he would be out for eight to 10 weeks. That puts his earliest return around the end of November.
6. Derek Forbort
2025-26 stats: 2 GP, 0 G, 0 A, 0 PTS
Games missed: 10
This injury may be the most mystifying one.
Derek Forbort, who missed some time during training camp and preseason, played in the Canucks’ first two games of the season.
He didn’t play against the Blues, with Foote describing his absence as maintenance. Foote then mentioned last week that there is no timetable for his return.
It’s unclear what Forbort’s injury is or when he will return. The 33-year-old defenceman has missed a lot of time over the past few seasons. He hasn’t played more than 54 games in one year since 2021-22, when he suited up in 76 contests for the Boston Bruins.
7. Teddy Blueger
2025-26 stats: 2 GP, 1 G, 0 A, 1 PTS
Games missed: 10
Teddy Blueger has already been injured twice this season. He missed the first four games of the Canucks season after suffering an injury in the team’s final preseason game.
He returned for two appearances before suffering an injury late against the Capitals.

Dhaliwal reported yesterday that Blueger is expected back in about a week.
8. Jonathan LekkerimÀki
2025-26 stats: 4 GP, 1 G, 0 A, 1 PTS
Games missed: six due to injury
The Canucks first-round pick from 2022 made the team after showcasing his electric shot in the preseason.
Although he scored on opening night, LekkerimÀki sat as a healthy scratch in the fourth and fifth games of the season for the Canucks. He returned on Oct. 19 against the Capitals, but was one of three Canucks to be injured in that contest.
The 21-year-old is about 1-2 weeks away from returning, according to Allvin.
9. Victor Mancini
2025-26 stats: 5 GP, 0 G, 0 A, 0 PTS
Games missed: two due to injury
Victor Mancini has had an eventful season thus far.
The 23-year-old has been recalled twice from Abbotsford this season. He had his first fight ever, and then he suffered an injury.
Mancini left the Canucks contest versus the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday, Oct. 26, with an arm injury. Foote said following the injury that Mancini would be out about seven to 10 days.
