Canucks ticket prices to run off new "dynamic" model

Dec 20 2017, 1:19 am

Canucks single game tickets are going on sale on Monday, with a bit of a change to pricing.

Single game prices will now rise or fall based on various factors related to star players, rivalries, opposing teams, day of the week, and supply and demand. The changes will be in real time and will happen on a regular basis, according to the Canucks’ website.

According to the statement, dynamic pricing is the standard in most parts of North America and is meant to give fans more options by reflecting real-time market values.

The new pricing model won’t affect the way season tickets are sold.

This comes after the Canucks’ sellout streak officially came to a halt last year. The sellout streak started in 2002 and ended in October of 2014.

Tickets go on sale at 10:00 am and can be purchased online at Canucks.com/Tickets or through Ticketmaster at 1-855-523-6800. You can also purchase them in-person at gate 10 at Rogers Arena starting on Tuesday.
