It can be tempting for NHL players to travel rather than be at the gym every day throughout the offseason. Vancouver Canucks forward Andrei Kuzmenko has found a way to do both.

Kuzmenko’s agent, Dan Milstein, took to Twitter on Friday explaining that his client wanted to vacation in Bali, but only if he were able to have a facility to do the training needed to be ready for the NHL season.

“Our clients wish is our command,” wrote Milstein. “When Andrei Kuzmenko of the Vancouver Canucks wanted to vacation in Bali, we were tasked with finding and providing on and off ice training. The best in the business were dispatched to Indonesia to prepare our friend for the upcoming season.”

Milstein also attached a video in the tweet, where Kuzmenko is donning Canucks attire while doing both strength and agility training. While the clip was short, it caught the attention of many Canucks fans, who are excited to see what the 27-year-old can do next season.

Kuzmenko had an exceptionally strong rookie season for the Canucks, scoring 39 goals and 74 points in 81 games. Now that he is more comfortable in the NHL, many expect even higher totals for him in the 2023-24 campaign.

Despite the Canucks’ struggles last season, there is reason to believe they could be in for a big year. Aside from Kuzmenko, their roster has plenty of other talent in players like J.T. Miller, Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, and Brock Boeser. If they all play to the level they are capable, the Canucks could challenge for a playoff spot this upcoming season.
