Conor Garland left Sunday’s game in Tampa early with an injury, and he’s not scheduled to play against the Florida Panthers on Monday.
The injury appeared to come as a result of the fight he got in with Lightning defenceman Darren Raddysh, a 6-foot-1, 202-pound defenceman.
Canucks head coach Adam Foote had relatively good news to share with reporters in South Florida before Monday’s game, saying he doesn’t think it’s a serious injury.
“Garland’s got a little tweak… I don’t think it’s serious,” said Foote. “I think it’s not going to be too long, so day-to-day.”

It goes without saying that the Canucks can ill-afford another injury. They’re already without Thatcher Demko, Filip Chytil, Nils Hƶglander, Teddy Blueger, and Derek Forbort.
We’ll see if Garland is in the lineup on Thursday, after the Canucks return home to play the Dallas Stars.
