Canucks host pre-game street party and beer garden during playoffs

Get your towel power ready – the Vancouver Canucks will be hosting a pre-game festival for fans before every home game of this year’s playoffs.

The Chevrolet Party on the Plaza will begin two hours before game time and feature live music, food trucks, face painting, alumni autograph signing and a Beer Garden open to those with tickets for that day’s game. If you haven’t been lucky enough to score a pair of tickets, they will be giving away prizes, including tickets to an upcoming playoff game.

The party will take place on Pat Quinn Way, which will be closed to traffic from 3 p.m. until one hour after puck drop.

Any kind of public viewing party like we saw in 2011 has not been announced.
