Brock Boeser to take student with Down syndrome to prom in North Dakota

Dec 20 2017, 5:43 am

A heartwarming story out of Grand Forks, North Dakota today, where 19-year-old Canucks prospect Brock Boeser will be accompanying Baylee Bjorge, who has Down syndrome, to her prom.

Boeser, the Canucks’ first round pick from last year, had a dream first season with the University of North Dakota this season, leading his team in scoring and winning a National Championship.

Baylee, who was voted homecoming queen, is apparently a big fan of Boeser’s.

She asked him to prom on Twitter, but her mother shut down her social media accounts before Boeser could reply.

Undeterred, Boeser tracked her down through a mutual friend, and graciously accepted the invitation.

Check out the full story from Brad Elliott Schlossman from the Grand Forks Herald in North Dakota.
