Canucks Autism Network Family Festival 2014

Dec 19 2017, 6:15 pm

This Saturday, Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is hosting a family fun event open to the public. With the outdoor event being hosted by Jody Vance from Breakfast Television, you can participate in the fun festivities while being entertained by the ODDS band.

You can hang out with representatives from the Seattle Seahawks, the Vancouver Canucks, the BC Lions and the Vancouver Canadians. You definitely don’t want to miss out on a photo booth opportunity with special guests, Kirk McLean and Dave Babych.

After boogie-ing down in a mascot dance-off,(no longer happening) you can chow down on food provided by Moderne Burger and Dougie Dogs (minimum donation for food). Last but not least, make sure you’re around for the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron (we aren’t allowed to call it the Olympic Cauldron). If you’re there, make sure to find Vancity Buzz’s Amie so she can take a photo of you!

You can add any of these points: Participate in the awareness walk, have a caricature done, or get your photo with Canucks FIN to replace the mascot dance off part.

For those of who you cannot attend the festival but would still like to contribute, you are invited to the Family Festival Kick-Off (Pub Night) at Mahoney & Sons on Thursday, April 10th at their waterfront location. Your ticket will include a beer, burger and an entry into the door prize draw. The night will also host a silent auction with signed sports memorabilia and other fun draws throughout the night. All Proceeds from this event proceeds will go to the Canucks Autism Network.
