Canucks' Alex Burrows taken to hospital, will not play in Game 4

Dec 19 2017, 10:54 pm

Some scary news from Canucks practice this morning as Alex Burrows was rushed to hospital.

Burrows was seen leaving the ice, holding his wrist.

UPDATE: Reports say that Burrows has a broken rib.

Doctors followed him to the dressing room and he left the Saddledome on a stretcher.

The Canucks released a statement, but a lot of uncertainty still remains.

Needless to say, Alex Burrows will not be in the lineup tonight for Game 4 and should have his spot in the lineup taken by Sven Baertschi, who was called up from Utica today.

The heart and soul of the Canucks, Burrows’ absence will surely be felt in what is almost a must-win game.
