Yaletown's CandyTown is coming back for its 5th year (CONTEST)

Sugarplums will be dancing through the streets of Yaletown this holiday season.

CandyTown is back for its fifth year on the streets of Vancouver, creating a festival of delectable treats and holiday fun. The event will host everything from horse-drawn carriage rides to a Candy Hut, as well as a market where you can get gifts for the special people on your list.

Many of the activities at the market are geared towards families and their children, but that doesn’t mean they adults can’t play too. Everyone can meet with the Ice Queen and take photos with Santa, but there are some things geared just for grownups. Ice sculptures are set up to be ideal Instagram backdrops, and CandyTown-themed cocktails will be served at some restaurants.

To help you appreciate the CandyTown festival even more, we’ve teamed up with the Yaletown Business Improvement Association to give out not one, but three $50 gift cards to Yaletown eateries.

You could watch the people shop in the “All I want for Christmas” gift market from the comfort of West Oak’s dining room, eating its locally-sourced menu options. Or, you could stop by Hub Restaurant on your way back from visiting Santa at the Canada Line station. You might also get $50 to enjoy some savoury Italian dishes while you cleanse your palate from all the sugar.
