Vancouver Canadians baseball will return to Nat Bailey Stadium next week.

Their season just started on April 4. The club began the year on the road but will return to Vancouver for their home opener on April 15, when they take on the Eugene Emeralds.

The team has planned at least one giveaway for every homestand this season. Some of the items being given away include toques, bobbleheads, seat cushions, chef’s aprons, and cowboy hats.

The schedule is also littered with all types of promotions, which promise tons of fun for fans making the trip out.

The fireworks show at Canadians games is always a favourite, and this year, they’ve added even more than last season. The team has nine different fireworks nights on the schedule, the first happening on their home opener. They are as follows.

  • April 15 (home opener)
  • May 27
  • June 26
  • July 3
  • July 19
  • July 26
  • Aug. 9
  • Aug. 23
  • Sept. 6

The fireworks nights are far from the only promotional event planned by the team. Some of the other highlights include Marvel Superhero Day (June 28), Pride Night (July 22), Christmas in July (July 23), and Country Night (July 26).

The Canadians will also show off a few different jerseys this year. They have a tribute to the Vancouver Asahi, another special look for South Asian Heritage Night, and a lumberjack-inspired outfit.

Toronto Blue Jays’ top prospect Arjun Nimmala is on the Canadians roster. He was the team’s first-round pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. Fans will get the chance to view a potential future MLB star and also someone who could be a historic player as he could be the first player born to Indian parents to ever suit up in an MLB game.

The Canadians are in the midst of a major upgrade for their home at Nat Bailey. The plans include a new seating area, which should be ready for the 2026 season.

So far this season, the Canadians have split their games and have a 3-3 record. They last won the league title in 2023.
