Canada Soccer needs your help in order to become a leading soccer nation by as early as 2018.
The Canadian Soccer Association has released a survey asking Canadians what they think needs to be done in order to see Canada become more competitive on the world stage in both men’s and women’s soccer.
In the last year or so we have seen the women’s national team rise to stardom with their bronze medal performance at the 2012 London Olympic games. However, it is the men’s team that has lacked progress. Since winning the CONCACAF Gold Cup back in 2000, the Canadian men’s national team has not won a major tournament or even qualified for the FIFA World Cup or the Olympic games.
Currently, the Canadian men are ranked 83rd in the world, as according to the FIFA World Rankings, while the Canadian women are tied for 7th with England.
The survey can be found at http://www.canadasoccer.com/forms/canadasoccer_stratplan_201305-f303 and the deadline to respond is Friday, June 14, 2013.
If you need any incentive, after completing the survey you have the option of being entered into a draw to win an Atiba Hutchinson autographed National Team jersey and an Christine Sinclair autographed National Team jersey.
