Aboot time: Artist creates Canadian Pokémon characters

While catching the Clefairy, Squirtle, and Pidgey on Canadian streets, ever wondered what a Canadian Pokémon character would look like?

Wonder no more.

An Alberta-based artist has created some very Canadian Pokémon in anticipation of the game’s release. Last week, Darren Calvert posted his Canadian art from our current favourite game on his Tumblr account. His local Pokémon included Aboot, Poutiny, Poutitan, Moople, and the Dubbledubble.

Because what else can make Pokémon Go better than adding a Loonie or a Toonie?
