Canadian Breast Cancer Foundations Yard Sale for the Cure 2011

Dec 19 2017, 12:57 pm

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF), BC/Yukon Region will be holding its annual Yard Sale for the Cure on May 28th from 8 am to 1 pm at Hawthorne Park (10503 – 144 Street) in Surrey. Bargain hunters across British Colombia will have the opportunity to find amazing deals and join the green movement by recycling and reusing previously loved items – all for a good cause. In addition, event goers can also bring gently used items to donate to the sale.

Yard Sale for the Cure is presented by RE/MAX with support from 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Started in 2005, in Ontario, Yard Sale for the Cure took root when a good samaritan, Rachael Smith, held the first yard sale in her local community. Now an annual signature event for the Foundation, Yard Sale for the Cure has raised over $725,000 across the nation for breast cancer research, awareness and education.

1-800-GOT-JUNK has held onto some of the best items they’ve gathered over the year, and will deliver them to Hawthorne Park on May 28th.
